Kendra Jones Morris
Lifestyle/Portrait Photographer & Documentary Filmaker

Kendra Jones Morris is a mother and wife. Her academic background is in anthropology, broadcasting and journalism. Her documentary style of photography has enabled her to work in the poshest of neighborhoods to the slims of Nairobi to fashion shows and back to earthquake devastated Haiti. Her lastest endavor as a film producer has taken their film to the Berlin and Cannes Film Festival Markets, where it was internationally sold. Her efforts in China enabled her to work with all levels of government for preproduction of the documentary "A Plan for Water," focusing on her father's environmental research with the Chinese government over the last ten years. In Central America, she was able to work directly with the Honduran President while shooting preproduction for the feature length film "The Bohemiam." Kenya provided the background for her first feature documentary "In The Name of Aid" (previously "Missionary Kid"), which has received high reviews for it's intimate portrayal of faith-based aid workers in Nairobi. Her experiences as a cultural liaison in the Caribbean--mediating between large corporations and developing tourism nations to ensure every individual's needs are met--has enabled her to meet with ministers of state on social and development isues.

The skills she's acquired while working with varied people across the globe has aided her greatly in her ability to bridge the gap between vision and execution to direct the right type of documentary and capture the perfect shot for today's world.
